I love winter for its simplicity. The days are short and usually cold, and the nights are long and very cold. I can spend the daylight hours skiing or working outside, get writing or house projects done in the afternoon and evening, and then have a couple hours to cook a good dinner and mellow out before it's time for bed. Come March though, the days start getting longer, the snow starts to melt in the valley, and projects pile up. Winter photo shoots to complete before the snow starts to melt in the mountains, brush clearing projects around our house that should get done before the fire season, an expedition to plan and pack for, bike trails to help maintain, mountains to ski, rocks to climb, and trails to walk.
Anyway, since I haven't had time to write much lately, I'll post some of the shots that I've taken for Stevens Pass over the last month.
