danhilden > Participants and spectators gather next to Capital Lake in Olympia, WA where the Procession of the Species came to an end on April 25. The procession first took place in 1995 to mark Earth Day and is the main event during Olympia's Arts Walk. Anyone is welcome to dress up in earth themed costumes and take part in the parade, which this year drew 15,000-20,000 spectators.
